Arrival & Transportation
Travel by car:
Bern is located off of E 4 in the European E-road highway network and the national autobahn network. The Bern downtown is mostly closed to through-city traffic, although hotel access is provided for. While the city center has no above-ground parking garages, ample public parking facilities are available.
Travel by plane:
International airport Bern-Belp is located only 15 minutes from downtown, offering daily connections to many European cities. The airport's scale enables for very fast handling of arrivals and departures. Buses regularly circulate between the airport and the city center.
Travel by train:
Bern has direct connections to the international rail network and is served by high-speed ICE and TGV trains. Switzerland has the densest rail network in the world, making it ideal for your participants to travel by train.

For events that expect at least 400 participants, you might consider a partnership with SWISS airline. Participants receive up to 25% discount on flights with SWISS. Please contact us – we are happy to provide you with all the details.
Train travel option for your event:
Offer you attendees the best way to get a round and position yourself as an environmentally aware organizer. Attendees receive a train ticket valid from a Swiss town/border to the conference site. Local public transportation can also be included in the package on request.
